Dialife Dialysis
One of the most important functions of the kidneys is to filter the blood and regulate fluid and mineral balance. In patients diagnosed with chronic kidney failure, the kidneys are unable to perform this critical function, making hemodialysis treatment necessary.
Hemodialysis treatment involves drawing the patient’s blood through an appropriate vascular access (fistula, graft, or catheter) and passing it through a special filter (dialyzer) via the dialysis machine. During this process, fluid and mineral balance is adjusted, and the filtered blood is returned to the patient.
This procedure lasts for approximately 4 hours and is performed three times a week. To maintain a high quality of life, patients also need to pay attention to their diet. They should be cautious about salt and fluid intake and carefully monitor their consumption of fruits and vegetables.
